My wife(Age - 25 years) is suffering from Lung Cancer. Last month, treatment (Right pneumonectomy was performed )has been done at Tata Memorial Hospital - Mumbai. After Final histopathology of the excised specimen showed Mucoepidermoid carcinoma of intermediate grade malignancy with negative regional nodes. Doctors advice that to come after 06 nos. for routine check up. They have not given any medicine. I am attaching the scan latter of TMH - Mumbai. DISCHRGE SUMMARY Name: Mrs. Nisha Sex: Female I Age: 24 years Reg. No: CE 1302 Mrs. Nisha presented with cou. On clinical examination her general condition was fair. CT scan revealed a mass in the right main stern bronchus with paratracheal, paratracheal nodes There were no liver, lung or adrenal metastases. Fiberoptic bronchoscopy showed polyp growth at angle of right main bronchus. BiopsyIBAL showed muco epidermoid carcinoma. The clinical stage of disease was T4N2MO. She was worked up for surgery and her pulmonary function tests showed adequate reserve. She was operated on 27th January 2009. Right pneumonectomy was performed. The post operative recovery was uneventful. The final histopathology of the excised specimen showed Mucoepidermoid carcinoma of intermediate grade malignancy with negative regional nodes. She does not require any adjuvant therapy. She is advised follow up after six months. Dr. C.S.
