Effect of Yoga on Skeleton and Muscles
Human body is structured and based on muscles and skeleton. Human skeleton constitutes of 206 bones. The association of two bones is called joint. In the formation of joint muscles play an important role. With yoga exercise, the effectiveness of joints increases. The diseases related to joints, muscles and deformities of back-bone like problem of gibbous could be treated with yoga exercises. The problem of back gone exist both in men and women but elderly women are more affected. The structure of the women cause back-bone related problems. During menstrual even a little jolt could cause fracture in the backbone. Most of the women in elderly age have pain in back bone. In elderly age, the resistance power of
the women reduce, which make them prone to the problem. The main problem occurring to the women include pain in the back bone, bent back-bone, displacement of the back-bone, and pain in neck due to bent posture and swelling in the back-bone.After the menstrual period ends, production of hormones stops in the women's human body. This make changes in the human body, which grows weaker. Though, it affects entire body but back-bone is badly affected. Even other bone of the women too grows fragile. In the elderly men and women, hip bone particularly grows weak and fragile. Likewise, wrist bone, leg bones and arm bones are also vulnerable. Pain starts in all the joints and bones. There is danger of bones being cracked after small jolt. When knee bone grew weak,women experience problems in standing and even sitting. People suffering from the problem can't stand erect and have problem in even walking. The problem begins even without pain or symptoms of decaying of bones. The patient knows about the problem, only after damage in the back-bone with even minor jolt.
This cause severe problem and the fact come to light after x-ray. Due to decay in back bone, old persons can't stand straight and have problems in normal walking. To make back bone strong and flexible, old persons shall particularly take care of food habits. They should take protein-rich lentils, soya been, milk, curd, cheese and other such items rich in protein. Milk has maximum percentage of calcium. Thus, it shall be an essential component of the meal. More use of vitamin A, vitamin D and calcium rich food could keep these problems at bay.
With different exercises for joints and back-bone, the problem of decaying could be reduced or even stopped. Exercise makes backbones strong and flexible and reduces chances of bringing deformaties mity in back-bone. Old women doing exercises remain active and energetic. Persons, who control their bones being clamp, remain more active. With regular exercise muscles of back-gone too remain active and flexible. The digestion capacity and other physical activities of elderly women grow weak with age. Thus, they should be extra-cautious in maintaining health and keeping back-bone flexible.
If x-ray results shows that their back-bone is growing weak and fragile, they shall use belt to keep it straight. They should use hard bed to sleep, quitting soft quilts and mattress. They should be
extra careful in the process of standing from bed or chair. They should walk carefully while doing daily chores as little jolt could cause fracture in the bones. If the hip bone is dislocated or fractured,
they should undergo operation immediately. They should not lay more on bed, which could cause boils and ulcers on the back bone. The older persons should be extra careful so that they do not develop infection in urine and pneumonia in lungs. They should also not sit in wrong posture. 1] Various asans like `sheershasan,`sarvanganasan, `surya namaskar, `tadasan` and `shalabhasan`.
2] Asans should be done according to the disease.
3] Pranayam - For all ribs of breasts and veins of abdomen, it is beneficial.
4] Mudra-Mahamudra, Mahabandh,Mahavedh, Vipritkarni, Ashvini and tadagi (for various skeleton and muscle related diseases).
5] Kriya-Agnisar, Nauli, Kapalbhati (for abdomen muscles) and Tratak (for eyes and muscles).
Prohibition in diseases related to muscles and skeletons. The present generation is more prosperous but when the situation is being viewed integrally, a human being is more worried, in tension and becoming patient fast. The main cause behind it is the increasing competition in the world. Person is not using gifts provided by the nature but exploiting it badly. The change in the living system, bad food habits and increasing pollution are the main reasons behind it. Likewise more use of chemical fertilizers,processed chemical food and more use of medicines are also the real causes. As a result, a person is suffering from mental and physical diseases. More the medical science is progressing, more persons are being trapped by newer diseases. The 21st century is also known as century of science. Various ultramodern ways have been discovered to cure various ailments. But still integral health for all the people of the world is impossible task. In these circumstances, people of the world are now making opinion that only yoga and ayurveda could handle the problem effectively. Many people, who consider yoga as philosophy, are also surprised in view of its benefits on the serious patients and now building opinion that without ayurveda and yoga, it is not possible to fight deadly diseases. Despite acceptance, recognition and popularity of yoga, still it is not integrally used due to lack of knowledge. Before knowing about Ashtang yoga, general and common knowledge of yoga is maandatory. Thus yoga is very beneficial for human body.
